This Keto Cheeseburger recipe is simple, easy to make, tender & juicy for a delicious lunch or dinner, it can be served as an open hamburger or with Keto burger buns.
The most important part of this Keto Burger recipe is the ground beef; 20% fat beef will give you a moist, juicy burger with perfect keto ratios.
It’s best to purchase ground beef from a butcher, but you can get away with packed meat. If you want to serve them on bread use this Keto Hamburger Bun recipe.

Keto Cheeseburger Ingredients
- Burger Sauce Ingredients:
- ⅓ cup of Keto Mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons of Sugar-Free Ketchup
- 1 tablespoon of Yellow Mustard
- 1 tablespoon of Pickles, diced
- 1 teaspoon of Pickle Brine
- Pinch of Salt
- Beef Burger Patty Ingredients:
- 1 lb of Ground Beef, 20% fat
- Kosher Salt
- Cracked Pepper
- 1 tablespoon of Avocado Oil
- 4 slices of American Cheese
- Serve on Keto Burger Buns or lettuce.
How to Make Keto Cheeseburgers
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. We recommend using a cast iron grill plate or frying pan for the best result.
- In a small bowl, place all the sauce ingredients and mix well. Set aside.
- Divide the ground beef into 4 even sections, and very gently shape into a 2cm/1in thick disc. Place onto a tray and season with salt and pepper.
- Oil the grill plate and place the burgers seasoned side down, press firmly with a barbecue tool, and scraper until your burger is under 1cm/0.5in thick. Season the top with more salt.
- Leave the burgers to cook until the juices start to pool on the surface.
- Flip and top with a slice of cheese. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese has melted.
- Serve your burgers however you like! We recommend using lettuce leaves, a burger bowl or a keto burger bun, topped with your favorite fillings.
