Keto Chicken Bacon Kebab Skewer Recipe

Our Keto Chicken Bacon Kebab recipe is all meat with only the fatty thigh cut and streaky bacon (the tail bit) are chosen.

These kebabs are very easy to make threaded onto a wooden or metal skewer and require few ingredients.

We make these keto chicken bacon kebabs and take them outside to the BBQ or for a picnic in the park.

Ingredients For Keto Chicken Bacon Kebabs

Ingredients Keto Kebab Skewers
Keto Chicken Bacon BBQ Kebab Skewers
  • 2 pounds of Chicken Thigh (approx. 4-6)
  • 7 oz of Bacon (called streaky bacon outside of the US)
  • 2 teaspoons of Garlic Powder
  • 1 teaspoon of Salt
  • 1 tablespoon of Oregano, dried

Make sure you have some oil to coat your keto kebabs with. We use coconut oil spray as we feel this works best and is most suited to keto diets with MCT’s.

  1. Fillet the chicken thigh into 3 x 1-inch strips
  2. Cut the slices of bacon into 3 x 1-inch strips
  3. Thread the chicken and bacon onto the skewers alternating thread each piece of meat doubled over (you should pierce each piece twice). You should end up with 4 large kebabs but you could make 6 smaller ones (we made 4 kebabs).
  4. Spray the kebabs liberally with coconut oil spray (olive oil or peanut oil if you don’t have it but coconut is best)
  5. Dust each chicken and bacon kebab with garlic powder, dried oregano and salt
  6. Place on a hot grill turning often, until the chicken is cooked through
  7. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
