Ingredients

Keto Alfredo Sauce Ingredients - simple creamy pasta sauce recipe
Keto Alfredo Sauce Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 ounces cream cheese
  • 1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream
  • ½ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon ground white pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Salt to taste

How to Make Easy Keto Alfredo Sauce

  1. Melt the butter: Place a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat and melt the unsalted butter.
  2. Sauté the garlic: Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 2 minutes, or until fragrant.
  3. Incorporate cream cheese: Stir in the cream cheese until it’s fully melted and smooth.
  4. Add heavy cream: Pour in the heavy whipping cream and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Be careful not to let it boil, as this can cause the sauce to separate.
  5. Whisk in parmesan cheese: Gradually add the grated parmesan cheese, whisking constantly until it’s fully incorporated and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
  6. Season and simmer: Reduce the heat to low and simmer the sauce for about 10 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly. Stir in the ground white pepper, nutmeg, and salt to taste.
  7. Serve and enjoy: Your delicious low-carb keto alfredo sauce is ready to be served immediately over your favorite keto-friendly dish!

    • Hi Robin, cooking it twice may make the sauce split. I haven”t tried baking it. If anyone else has they may chime in.

This was so good! I added this sauce to my broccoli, ground turkey and rotini pasta and my kiddos and husband loved it. I’m not a fan of Aldredo sauce and this recipe has completely changed my mind. So Yummy, thank you!

Excellent sauce. I did add a shallot that I sauteed in a bit of olive oil to break it down, but otherwise followed the recipe. My picky 17 year-old son liked it. Hubby licked his plate clean.

    A keeper!

Delicious! I even got my daughters stamp of approval. She is extremely picky and the worst critic when it comes to food. I will definitely be making this again.

The only thing I did not do was add the nutmeg to the recipe. Everything else I followed exactly
