This sweet, tangy, sugar-free Keto BBQ sauce recipe is a welcome low-carb addition to meat dishes. Use it as a sauce, marinade, or baste for steak, sticky pork, chicken, and ribs.
We use this Keto BBQ sauce for our Sticky Pork Belly Bites recipe, keeping them super low-carb yet sweet and delicious, and our tasty Sticky Lamb Riblets.
Double the batch, put it in a jar, and then put it into the refrigerator to keep on hand.
Use this keto BBQ sauce with steak, pulled pork, sausages, and any other meat you feel like adding a sweet and smokey flavor to.
This recipe makes approximately 550g/1.2lbs, which is 24 servings. One serve is a heaped tablespoon.
Ingredients and substitutions
- Sauces. Sugar-free ketchup (or sugar-free tomato sauce). Worcestershire sauce.
- Apple cider vinegar.
- Spices: Smoked paprika (to give that smokey flavor), onion powder, garlic powder (you can also use crushed garlic in a jar or crush fresh garlic cloves), onion powder, and cayenne pepper (optional).
- Natural sweetener. Stevia or you can use double the amount of erythritol.
How To Make Keto BBQ Sauce
- Very simply: Put all ingredients into a saucepan; wet ingredients first.
- Place on stove over medium heat and lightly simmer for 5 minutes.
- Allow to cool and jar, serve as needed, and refrigerate the rest.
Store homemade BBQ sauce in the fridge for up to 3 weeks. Homemade BBQ sauce has no added preservatives, which makes it unsuitable for the cupboard.

- 4 tbsp worcestershire sauce
- 4 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 4 tsp smoked paprika It gives the smokey flavor.
- 2 tsp salt
- 2 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder May be replaced with crushed garlic in a jar or fresh crushed garlic cloves.
- 1/2 tsp cayenne powder Optional to taste.
- 1 tbs erythritol Erythritol is a natural sweetener available at most grocery stores. You may use your choice of natural sweetener to taste.
Instructions
