This Keto prawn curry is a creamy, tasty, and aromatic dish with a delicious blend of warm spices. You can use shrimp instead of prawns for this recipe also.
Our Keto curried prawns are dairy-free, with a rich, fragrant coconut sauce – and they taste even better the next day.
Our Curried Prawns recipe is made using medium-sized prawns. If you are using king prawns, you may need to cook them for longer; smaller prawns, aka school prawns, will need less time.

What Is The Difference Between Prawns And Shrimp?
No, shrimp and prawns are different. Prawns have claws on six of their legs, and shrimp have claws on four of their legs.
The second set of pincers is larger than the front ones on prawns, whereas shrimps’ front legs have larger pincers.
Some varieties of prawns grow much larger than shrimp, such as king prawns, tiger prawns, and banana prawns.
Do Shrimp and Prawns Taste The Same?
Many claims that prawns taste sweeter than shrimp, but we cannot taste the difference, particularly in a curry.
We’ve used prawns and shrimp in the same recipes depending mostly on where we are in the World.
When used in a curry, you certainly would not be able to tell any difference in the flavor of prawns or shrimp.
How To Store Curried Prawns or Shrimp

Comes together so quickly and very delicious! Not everyone in the family likes prawns, so I adapted this by reserving half of the completed curry (before the prawns get added) to serve with baked tofu for those people.
Great idea, Carla. Seafood is one of those things that people love or can’t swallow, I’ve made this recipe with chicken before as well.
Great recipe! Both the shrimp and the prawns went over well with the family. Cheers!
