Our Keto lamb Kofta recipe ensures a very tasty and easy dish to make with no nasty high carb fillers that are found in many store-bought or takeout dishes.
Many food outlets use fillers in their ground meat recipes (burgers, kebabs, koftas and the like) to keep costs low, claiming the need for binding.
Real Lamb Koftas as found in Middle Eastern and Greek cuisine use no such things and are generally Keto or very low-carb anyway.
You can make these keto lamb koftas with many readily available ingredients but you can also experiment with taste.

How To Make Lamb Kofta
- Put all the ingredients, except the rosemary and oil, into a mixing bowl and mix well.
- Separate the meat into 6 portions and work into a long oval shape.
- Push the skewer through the center of the meat so that the meat covers one end of the skewer.
- Heat a non-stick frying pan or BBQ plate on high.
- Put a dash of olive oil in the frying pan once hot and place the koftas in the pan.
- Brush the koftas with olive oil using rosemary sprigs then leave the sprigs in the pan.
- Turn the koftas after 2 minutes or when charred on one side.
- Turn again after 2 minutes and reduce the heat to medium for 8 minutes. Keep an eye on the underside so as not to burn.
- Turn again and cook for a further 8 minutes or until cooked through.
- Remove and serve with a side of sour cream and cucumber dip.
Our Lamb Koftas are very affordable to make, this recipe served 3 people for a little ground lamb and whatever herbs and spices we had available.

I just made these tonight as we had friends over. They were absolutely delicious and so easy. I made the recipe into 8, as there were 4 of us, and they were quite large. Our friends commented that they were tastier than ones we’d had recently at a restaurant.
Thanks for the feedback Sandie Glad you liked them.
We’re making them almost weekly ourselves such an easy recipe to put together.
