Macadamia Nut Butter Ingredients
- 12 ounces of Raw Macadamia Nuts
- 1 pinch of Salt
How to Make Macadamia Nut Butter
- Place macadamia nuts and salt in a food processor and blend on medium speed. The nuts will break down into small pieces before becoming sticky, scrape down the sides of the bowl every few minutes to ensure you get an even texture.
- Depending on how powerful your food processor is you may need to take a 2-5 minutes break for every 5 minutes of processing – especially if the processor is becoming hot.
- Continue to process until the macadamia nuts have turned into a creamy paste. The more you blend, the smoother it will be.

Does macadamia nut butter separate after processing?
Hi Pat, it can a little, a lot like peanut butter does so if you do see oil sitting on top just stir it in.
Very nice! What is your favorite source for raw nuts? Do you think macadamias should be soaked first? Thank you for your post.
Hi Margaret,
We buy our nuts either from local nut roasters or the supermarket. I’ve never soaked macadamias, unless making homemade nut milk.
